Semi-Virtual Meeting of the Town Board

At this Town Board Meeting there are as of this posting 6 items on the agenda plus the Supervisor's Update and general public comment period at the beginning of the meeting.

We encourage residents of Guilderland to call in and make public comments and also want to bring your attention to the following items:

  • Consideration of adopting a resolution authorizing a Payment In-Lieu of Tax Agreement for the Beacon Meadows Intergenerational development on Mercy Care Lane.
  • Consideration approving the proposed settlement for $169,900 tax reduction in a Consent Order and Judgment in the tax certiorari proceedings in Railroad Realty, LLC v. Town of Guilderland (Albany County, Sup. Ct. Index No. 904360-19 &904880-20) with no refund for taxes paid as recommended by the Assessor and assigned attorney.  The Town Assessor claims that reaching the settlement will avoid further litigation and appraisal costs and accumulating tax refunds.
  • Consideration of the reappointment of Tracy Slupski as a member of the Board of Assessment Review for a five-year term ending October 1, 2025 as recommended by the Town Assessor.

The Supervisor's Update will include information about Drug Take Back Day Saturday, October 24th from 10am to 2pm at Guilderland Public Library.

At this Town Board Meeting there are as of this posting 10 items on the agenda plus the Supervisor's Update. Of importance to the GCRG are the following:

  • Consider scheduling a public hearing for October 6, 2020, at 7:20pm regarding the proposed moratorium regarding programmable digital signs.
  • Consider adopting a resolution authorizing a Payment In-Lieu of Tax Agreement for the Beacon Meadows Intergenerational development on Mercy Care Lane. (POSTPONED)
