Guilderland Coalition for Responsible Growth (GCRG) is concerned with the speed and lack of transparency of the approval process for an explosion of massive new development projects proposed throughout the Town.
GCRG was formed to represent the residents’ rightful voice at every step of these new development proposals.
We would like to advise you of a proposed very large apartment complex development that is being considered on New Karner Road. It is a proposal by the Markstone Group from NYC entitled Pine Bush Parc LLC that will include a 4 story and 5 story apartment building across from the Post Office and Gladwish on Route 20. Neighbors in the area have grave concerns about many issues and have generated a petition to make these concerns known and to ask that it not be built. This project is not just about the folks and neighbors who live near the proposed project, but ANYONE who would be traveling Route 155. Please review the attached petition and sign if you are in favor of what they are asking. We also ask that you share with your friends, neighbors, social media etc.

Guilderland Conservation Advisory Council Meeting
The agenda for this Meeting of the Guilderland Conservation Advisory Council can be found here. There are 3 items for consideration:
- 2 Lot Minor Subdivision - Brandle Road (Tax ID# 48.00-2-25.12) - Joseph Silvestri. The applicant is proposing a two lot minor subdivision of 92 acres of land located in the RA3 District. Lot 1 would consist of 3 acres and Lot 2 would consist of 89 acres. The parcel is adjacent to a County designated agricultural district. NYS freshwater wetlands exist at the rear of the property and were delineated and flagged by the NYSDEC in September 2026. The proposed dwelling is located at the front of the proposed parcel and away from the wetlands area. The application will be scheduled for concept plan review on the October 28th Planning Board agenda.
- Major Cluster Subdivision - 2730/2738 West Lydius Street - Robert & Saydra Doyle. The applicant is proposing a major cluster subdivision consisting of 22 single-family lots, 2 stormwater management lots and 3 conservation areas on 58.43 acres of land located in the R40 District. The application is scheduled for concept plan review on the October 14th Planning Board agenda.
- Climate Smart Communities Designation Update. The Town was notified by the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation on September 22, 2026 the Town met the requirements to certify as a Bronze Climate Smart Community. The Town's Climate Smart Community Coordinator will provide an update to the CAC, which acts as the Town's Climate Smart Community Taskforce.
