Town Board Meeting

The agenda for this meeting of the Town Board can be found here. There are 12 items for consideration:

  1. 1. Consider accepting the gift to the Town of 20.54+/- acres of land (Tax Map No. 51.000-1-21.1) near the intersection of Nott and Foundry Roads by Selected Properties of the Northeast LLC and authorizing the Town Attorney and Town Supervisor to sign the transfer documents.
     
  2. 2. Consider adopting a determination, under the State Environmental Quality Review Act, that the proposed Guilderland Residences PUD located at 6 & 10 Mercy Care Lane is a Type II action and scheduling a public hearing for August 18, 2026 at 7pm on the proposed PUD.
     
    3. Consider approving the Memorandum of Agreement between the Town and the United Public Service Employees Union for the collective bargaining agreement for the period of January 1, 2027 to December 31, 2029, as requested by the Town Comptroller.

    4. Consider authorizing the appropriation of $18,325 from A0000-402027 (Golf Course Memberships), $5,000 from Budget Line A7185 602500 (Equipment), and $3,000 from Budget Line A7186 604110 (General Supplies and Materials), and transferring these sums to A7186-602520 (Improvements) for a consulting agreement regarding the irrigation system at the golf course, as recommended by Golf Course Superintendent.

    5. Consider amending the EMS Patient Offload & Delay Policy, as requested by the Director of EMS.
  3. 6. Town Board discussion of a possible moratorium on data centers in light of the Governor's Executive Order (dated July 12, 2026) and the pending Responsible Data Center Development Act (dated June 1, 2026).
     
    7. Consider awarding the contract for the construction of the sidewalks on Carman Road and East Old State Road to Maple Ridge Civil, LLC, the lowest responsible bidder, as requested by CHA Solutions, the Town's contractor.
     
    8. Consider designating the Town Supervisor as the Town's voting representative at the NYS Association of Towns' Annual Legislative Priorities Session on September 23, 2026.
     
    9. Consider approving, under NYS Town Law §112, the adjustment to the Town's 2026 Budget, as requested by the Deputy Comptroller.
     
    10. Consider approving a warrant adjustment for an erroneous water meter reading at 575 Highwood Circle as requested by the Water Department.
     
    11. Consider approving a warrant adjustment for an erroneous water meter reading at Fairwood Apartments, Building 17 as requested by the Water Department.
     
    12. Consider approving the draft resolution in support of a grant for West Branch Krum Kill Watershed Study, as requested by the Town Engineer.

     

Meetings of the Town Board are held at the Guilderland Town Hall Board Room, 5209 Western Turnpike Guilderland, NY 12084 and the public is encouraged to attend.

Members of the public may also watch the meeting on live stream on the Town website.

In addition, the public may listen and view the meeting on Verizon channel 34 and Spectrum channel 1303.
