Planning Board Meeting

  • Consideration of Issuing a SEQR Negative Declaration and Site Plan Approval for a Public Building (Fire House) - 1250 Western Avenue - McKownville Fire District

    The application was last before the Planning Board at the January 8, 2025 meeting.  The applicant is proposing to demolish the existing 6,338 square feet fire house and construct a new 12,375 square feet fire house on 0.73 acres located in the BNRP District. At their March 5, 2025 meeting the Zoning Board of Appeals approved an area variance to reduce the front yard setback to 15ft where 25ft is required.
     

  • Site Plan Review Associated with a Special Use Permit (Expansion of Contractor Yard) - 3830 Western Turnpike - Jake N Rake Lawn Care

    The applicant is proposing a 60' x 40' pole barn on 1.0 acres of land located in the RA3 District.  The purpose for the pole barn is to store equipment.  The property is currently used as a contractor yard for a landscape business and contains an existing 44' x 34' building.
     

  • Site Plan Review Associated with a Special Use Permit for a Retail Cannabis Dispensary - 2028 Western Ave (former Cone Zone) - Jason Southwood

    The applicant is proposing to convert an approximate 1,638 square feet existing building (the former Cone Zone) to a Retail Cannabis Dispensary on 0.95 acres in the Local Business District. 
     

  • Draft Comprehensive Plan Update - SEQR Coordinated Review - Town Board Adoption of Comprehensive Plan Update

    Continuance from the January 22, 2025; February 26, 2025 and March 12, 2025 Planning Board meetings.  Discussion on the Draft Comprehensive Plan Update for Planning Board review and consideration of comments to be forwarded to the Town Board as part of their adoption of the Comprehensive Plan Update.

     

Meetings of the Town Planning Board are held at the Guilderland Town Hall Board Room, 5209 Western Turnpike, Guilderland, NY 12084 on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday every month and the public is encouraged to attend.

Members of the public may also watch the meeting on live stream on the Town website.

In addition, the public may listen and view the meeting on Verizon channel 34 and Spectrum channel 1303.
