Due to Election Day, the Town Board meeting is rescheduled to Thursday, Nov 5th and will also start one hour earlier to accommodate a public hearing on the proposed town budget for 2021 and second public hearing for a proposed Planned Unit Development (PUD).
We encourage residents of Guilderland to call in and make public comments during the public hearings and regular comment period.
Below is the agenda for this Town Board meeting:
6pm: Public Hearing on the 2021 Town Budget
7pm: At this rescheduled Town Board Meeting there are as of this posting 3 items preceded by 1 Public Hearing plus the Supervisor's Update and general public comment period at the beginning of the meeting.
- At 7:00pm a Public Hearing on local law which would change the zoning for property located at 100, 200 and 300 Great Oaks Boulevard from Business Non-Retail Professional District to Planned Unit Development (PUD) with conditions.
- Consider adopting a resolution authorizing a Payment In-Lieu of Tax Agreement for the Beacon Meadows Intergenerational development on Mercy Care Lane.
- Consider approving a proposed resolution in support of "Small Business Saturday" on Saturday, November 28th.
- Consider the provisional appointment of Amy Graver as receptionist at Town Hall.
- The Supervisor's Update will include information about holiday closings of Town Hall, the Red Cross blood drive and the Guilderland Farmers' Market
Governor Cuomo’s Executive Order No. 202.1 related to COVID-19 allows for the attendance of meetings telephonically or other similar service and says,
"Article 7 of the Public Officers Law, to the extent necessary to permit any public body to meet and take such actions authorized by the law without permitting in public in-person access to meetings and authorizing such meetings to be held remotely by conference call or similar service, provided that the public has the ability to view or listen to such proceeding and that such meetings are recorded and later transcribed;"
